Another dream come true

I got a job today as a writer for H&S magazine.  Omg!  I have always wanted to be a writer... though I vary rarely ever told this to anyone.  One of my many goals in my Real and Second Life.  Now, to do some research on "rag" writing and other pertainant information. I'll post a link to the "Rag" once I get one.  WOOT!  I love MY SECOND LIFE!

Thrusday's Styling Event

Thrusday's styling event at CWS was Creative Butterfly.  I did my best, and it showed.  I took 3rd place up against some pretty tough competition.  I still need to work on my poses and movement from place mark to place mark, but I must say... I'm getting better.  I did make a mistake on the runway during my walk, I hit the wrong arrow key and went the wrong way on the stage for a few steps.  That sucked!  A lot of model's only use two of the arrow keys, and only these two, the up and the down arrow keys.  That is all I use as well.  But it doesn't matter a hill of beans when your finger hits the left arrow key before you realize it and your crossing away from your place mark instead moving forward!!  Oh well... it was a great event, and beautiful one to be apart of.  I am glad I placed.  I happy for the other gals who won, and for all the gals who participated.  I'm in it to have fun! 

I'm feeling motivated

 Tonight's styling event at CWS was Styling Cat/meow.  I went as leopard.  So did a few other gals.  I had thought about going as cat in a business suit "styling cat" but I had this really nice look leopard leotard and I wanted to wear it.  I put leopard iris eyes, leopard ears, leopard tail, leopard heels, and white claws to bring the whole outfit together.  Oh I choose to wear my newest hair from A&A, which really matched the colors of the leopard spots.  When I got on the runway, I hit my marks, did my poses, and followed the routine.  But I didn't win.  I'm not really surprised that did not win tonight's styling event...winning at these contests don't seem to be within my grasps right now.   

I keep getting mixed comments on my poses, so I wasn't entirely surprised at the judge's scores.  When I am knocked down, I try to fall facing up... hold my head up high... and look at what I need to improve.  This is not easy.  It's much easier to fall face down...and crawl away.  Following the words of one my favorite motivational speakers, "if I fall facing up, I can get up."  Being able to see your goals, keeping your eye on where you are going, is just as important as getting there. 

I know what I need to do.  I just have to do it.  I am a budding professional SL model now...and it's time to hone my skills and pump this career up a few notches!! 


Thoughts to ponder: It is said "that you can't win them all".  But, surely you can lose them all.  Right??

Bella Donna Fashion Show

First dress rehearsal.  Newest professional model to join the cast of models... of course I was teased just a bit during rehearsals, but also welcomed with open and loving arms!  It was a great experience and a lot of fun... but make no mistake about it, it was hard work!  I'm glad I changed my career path and avocation to modeling...and I'm glad I choose CWS for my modeling agency!  I can't wait till the next show I am asked to be in.  Until then I will practice practice practice... and con't to do the styling events at our agency.  Here are some pics of my first time in a fashion show as a paid, professional, model!!
